CMR is a not-for-profit organisation, does not receive any core funding and is reliant on voluntary commitment. It consists of an elected group of voluntary Directors and a membership of practitioners.
Revenue from a modest membership subscription is vital to allow the continuation and growth of the project. This helps to cover costs such as admin, publicity, building maintenance and exhibition / event costs.
This membership is open to artists, makers, curators, writers and thinkers at all stages of their careers who are interested in developing a rigorous, critically engaged level of contemporary practice, and who are interested in actively contributing to help promote the overall well-being of the project. Membership allows artists and practitioners to become proactively involved in the programming and establishment of shows and events within CMR.
